Ike Hong
Ike Hong is the founder of Ike Investment, a single family office managing approximately USD 120 million
of proprietary capital. Prior to establishing Ike Investment in 2023, Ike dedicated over 15 years
to the battery industry, leading the creation and successful exits of Kokam and RouteJade, two lithium
ion battery manufacturing companies later acquired by publicly listed U.S. companies.
Ike began his entrepreneurial journey with Kokam, originally founded by his family in 1989, which was sold
to SolarEdge (NASDAQ: SEDG) in 2018. Following the acquisition, he was retained as President of Kokam
for four years to oversee post merger integration and operations. He also founded Kokam Electronics,
developed advanced battery modules and BMS technologies, and holds more than 15 patents in battery related fields.
After successfully selling RouteJade to Enovix (NASDAQ: ENVX) in 2023, Ike established Ike Investment
to manage the family’s capital. The family office focuses on global asset allocation across hedge funds,
equities, real estate, and private equity, complemented by selective direct investments in technology
and energy related companies.
